*Job Description:*
We are seeking a passionate and driven Criminal Defense Attorney to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to protecting the rights of the accused and providing a vigorous defense. You’ll manage a caseload, appear in court, conduct legal research, and work closely with clients through all stages of the criminal process.

*Responsibilities:*
* Represent clients in criminal proceedings at the state and/or federal level
* Prepare legal documents including motions, pleadings, and briefs
* Negotiate plea deals and advise clients on legal options and outcomes
* Conduct legal research and case strategy development
* Investigate case facts and gather supporting evidence
* Attend arraignments, hearings, pre-trials, and trials
* Maintain client communication and manage expectations
* Collaborate with other attorneys and support staff as needed

*Qualifications:*
* Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
* Licensed to practice law in Missouri and Kansas and in good standing
* [3+] years of experience in criminal law preferred
* Strong oral and written advocacy skills
* Ability to manage a busy caseload independently
* Commitment to upholding the rights of clients and ethical legal practice

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
