Payroll Manager – International Automotive Supplier

Overview

A leading international automotive supplier is seeking a hands-on Payroll Manager with strong SAP expertise to oversee U.S. payroll operations. This is a highly visible role requiring both technical payroll execution and leadership, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and outstanding service to our employees and plant HR partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage full-cycle payroll processing for all U.S. employees.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
  • Partner with Plant HR to maintain accurate employee payroll data.
  • Prepare and deliver payroll reports for leadership.
  • Respond to payroll inquiries from employees and plant HR promptly and professionally.
  • Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Coordinate with Finance to ensure proper accounting of payroll expenses.
  • Monitor legislative changes and update payroll practices accordingly.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Proven experience managing payroll in a large corporation.
  • SAP payroll experience is required.
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state payroll regulations.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • HRIS systems knowledge preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Manufacturing industry payroll experience preferred.
