Explain what the scope of the work/project is? Project Overview, deliverables (what is this person responsible for). The scope of the Project Manager II role involves working at three different locations: Prairie Island, Monticello, and Corporate (414 Nicollet). The role includes solidifying long-term plans, enhancing project estimates, deploying individuals to projects, and managing license extensions from 60 to 80 years. The candidate will take on capital work and depreciate assets. The role requires US citizenship. What does a typical day look like? A typical day is site-based and involves coordination with stakeholders, interfacing with the maintenance organization and engineering department, and implementing projects. Tasks include weekly meetings, coordination, sourcing vendors, contract initiation and management, monitoring financials, escalating concerns, adhering to scope, schedule, and budget, risk management, and presenting to gain approvals for authorization. The role also involves field/plant observation and working with internal stakeholders. What are the work hours/shift (standard, evening, full time/part time, OT required, on-call for 24/7 operation)? Standard work hours apply, but during outages, a minimum of 60 hours per week is expected, with 12-hour days, 6-7 days per week. What are the top 3-5 skills and qualifications (technology/application/software, etc.) required? Candidates should have 5-7 years of cradle-to-grave project management experience, experience managing projects of at least $1 million, and a nuclear background is strongly preferred. Mechanical/Electrical Engineering background is preferred, as well as civil or construction experience. ABET accreditation is desirable. Monticello is more interested in PM experience. Finance background is also beneficial. Ex-Navy (submarine/navy) nuclear experience is preferred if no commercial experience. Previous experience with SAP, Unifier, UKG Workday, MS Project, and P6/Primavera is helpful.
