School Psychologist at Foundations Education Solutions, A Member of the Point Quest Group summary:

A School Psychologist conducts psychological assessments to evaluate cognitive, emotional, and behavioral functioning of students. They develop and support individualized education plans (IEPs and 504 plans), offer crisis intervention and training for school staff, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to promote student well-being. They maintain detailed records and reports, adhering to certification and clearance requirements, to support effective educational outcomes.

Please note: To be considered for this role, candidates must hold a valid, current School Psychologist Certificate from the Arizona Department of Education and have a valid Arizona Department of Public Safety IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card. School Psychologist Key Responsibilities:

• Psychological Assessments : Conduct comprehensive evaluations of cognitive, emotional, adaptive, and behavioral functioning using a range of standardized tests.
• IEP & 504 Plan Support : Develop and consult on individualized education plans (IEPs) and 504 plans based on assessment data. Create evidence-based interventions and strategies.
• Crisis Support & Training : Provide crisis support during emergencies and offer training to school staff on mental health, behavior management, and instructional strategies.
• Documentation & Reporting : Maintain accurate, confidential records of assessments, interventions, and progress. Prepare detailed reports for IEP meetings, evaluations, and other necessary documentation.
• Multidisciplinary Collaboration : Actively participate in team meetings to review and plan student interventions.

School Psychologist Qualifications:

• Certification: Arizona Department of Education School Psychologist Certification
• Background Check: Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card,  FBI Background Check (or equivalent state or national fingerprint clearance).
• TB Clearance
• Eligibility to Work: Eligibility to work in the US
• Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certification from the National Association of School Psychologists (NASP)
  • Prior experience working as a school psychologist
  • Bilingual in Spanish/English

School Psychologist Physical Demands:

• Environment : Occasional exposure to dust, pollen, and fumes.
• Activity : Frequent engagement in tasks such as reaching, handling, standing, walking, and lifting items up to 50 lbs, with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Sensory : Ability to perform essential job functions with or without assistive devices or accommodations, including working in moderate to high noise levels.
