In this week’s episode, Lynn continues her conversation about transitions, how they effect us, and how we can navigate them well.
Transition is really the internal process of coming to terms with change. William Bridges, authorĀ of Managing Transitions: Making the Most of Change cover this topic is wonderful depth and detail.
We hope you’ll take just a few minutes to check out the video, and to leave below any comments you might have. We’d love to be in conversation about this topic with you!
Lynn,
I have really enjoyed this series as you have shared the essence of your own transitioning with the ‘physical’ loss of your mom. I am currently reading Brene Brown’s latest book Rising Strong which meshes beautifully with your own theme. How do we rise up after a fall or loss in a way that leads to strength and replenishment ?
Your wise words also called to mind a process I derived for myself during the heavier writing moments of last year as I wrestled with the mound of informational imput derived from copious research. It wasn’t until I looked at the process with a new paradigm similar to the one you propose here that things got easier. I finally boiled it all down to the four stages of -musing (contemplating the new input), then came the fusing (integrating the new) followed by the losing ( the editing out the less valuable old) and then came the cruising for a stretch until the whole cycle starting again with the entry of the new, ‘new’! Life’s cyclical challenges keep us on our toes and striving, indeed. Thank for your thoughtful , wise weekly oil boosts.

Sorry, that was meant to read ‘soul’ boosts. My over zealous IPad editor doesn’t get my accent!
