I love working with people who want to improve their performance be it in business, sports or the arts. Ironically their desire to get better can also be their downfall. Many people believe things like “no pain no gain” or “if it is too easy you aren’t really working to capacity”. These beliefs come from a certain mindset and that’s where the problem is. This mind set is striving to be better but at the same time usually has the brakes on. Imagine wanting to be really successful and being afraid of making mistakes? These are opposing motivations, one for expansion and the other for being safe/protected. I call this cross-wiring. I summarize these thoughts in a short video on the Enhancing Performance page on my website (https://miruspoint.com/issues-we-address/performance/).

I help people address these cross-wirings and connect with a different mindset, some call it “the zone” or in a state of “flow”. There is great research today that shows the power we all have when we are in alignment with ourselves- head and heart. The body works better and so does the mind. On the Enhancing Performance page on the website, two people share how they powerfully moved ahead by addressing things that were sabotaging them. Once you do that the sky is the limit. But this doesn’t apply just to the super performers.

We all want to be successful in life, whether it is being a great parent, teacher, coach, or partner. If you notice you are doing patterns that are not working and you keep ending up frustrated or disappointed, maybe something in you is working at cross purposes. If so, you’ll need some help getting untangled and that’s what we specialize in.

I’d love to hear from you if you have any feedback about the website or if you have questions you’d like me to address.

If you gave your inner genius as your inner critic,
you would be light years ahead of where you now stand.”
